Water which is regulated by the Natural Mineral Water Regulations and comes from a recognised underground source. The process of recognition can take up two years and once designated, the water must carry the proper description - “Natural Mineral Water” - which cannot be used by any other bottled waters.

Rocwell is one of the few companies in Ireland to achieve Natural Mineral Water Status.

Natural Mineral Water has to satisfy the requirements of the Natural Mineral Water Regulations:

• Must be water from a natural spring
• Production is strictly regulated
• Must originate from a dedicated rock strata
• Must be naturally free from harmful micro-organisms, contaminants and pollution
• Must be stable in mineral analysis and composition
• Must be stable in temperature
• Must be bottled at source
• Must contain minerals
• Source must be protected from agricultural, industrial, animal or human contamination.
